How this works
Comparison sites are easy to build badly. Most of the work here goes into deciding what not to publish.
Where the numbers come from
Every price on this site is read from the business's own website — its menu, shop or product pages. Nothing comes from a review site, an aggregator or a delivery platform, because those carry their own markups and go stale in their own way.
Each business site is read in full, not sampled. For the bakery category that meant reading 532 products across seven bakeries. Prices, opening hours, delivery terms and dietary information are pulled out and structured, then every figure that ends up in a comparison is checked by hand against the live page before it is published.
Each category carries the date it was last verified. When that date gets old, it gets re-checked or the category comes down.
What gets left out
Two products with the same name are often not the same product. A one-kilogram loaf and a loaf with no published weight cannot be ranked against each other honestly. A single cookie and a gift tin of twelve cannot either.
So a price only enters a comparison table when the item is genuinely the same kind of thing, sold in the same form, at every business in that table. Of 532 bakery products read, 25 prices met that standard. The rest are still in the data, but they are not ranked, and the reason is stated on the page.
Where a business does not publish something, that is shown as not published. It is never guessed, never inferred from a similar business, and never left as an empty cell that reads like a no. Two bakeries publish a halal position; five do not, and this site does not decide for them.
Ranking
No business can pay to rank higher here
Tables are ordered by price. There is no sponsored placement, no promoted listing, no paid inclusion and no affiliate link that changes an order. No business has been contacted for payment and none has paid anything.
If this site ever earns money, it will be from something that cannot bend a ranking — and the method described on this page will not change to accommodate it.
Getting it wrong
Prices change, menus rotate, outlets close. This site will be out of date sometimes, and occasionally it will simply be wrong.
