Most keep their rates quiet
40 of the 90 licensed dog and cat boarders publish a nightly rate on their own website. 33 have no website we could find.

16 licensed dog and cat boarding premises are on Geylang Road and 13 on Joo Chiat Road, by AVS's own register.
Peak nights cost more
Some hotels add a surcharge in school holidays and festive periods. Pawtel & Friends, for example, adds S$10 a night in school holidays, CNY and Christmas.

We compare prices that are comparable enough, not identical, and “The boring bit” says exactly where we drew the line.
The boring bit
What we compared
Overnight pet boarding at licensed pet hotels: one night for a small dog (each hotel's smallest size band) and one night for one cat, in each hotel's cheapest regular room, cabin or space. We chose these after reading every hotel's rate list, by counting which rates hotels publish.
Comparable enough, not identical
- Hotels define "small" differently (under 5kg, under 7kg, under 10kg, or by length). We rank each hotel's smallest size band and name it under the price.
- The cheapest space differs: a kennel, a cabin, a room, a cage-free or "free roam" space. What's included (walks, playtime, daycare, food) varies.
- Some cat rooms cover up to two cats for the same price (The Whisker Hut, Kuro Cat Hotel); the one-cat price is ranked.
- Peak-season and public-holiday surcharges, long-stay discounts and first-stay offers aren't in the ranked price.
- Where a hotel's page says nothing about GST, its rate is used as listed.
What isn't compared, and why
- Daycare only, pet sitting at your home, and home boarding with private sitters (Pawshake, PetBacker and similar are marketplaces).
- Rabbits, hamsters, guinea pigs and chinchillas: too few hotels publish a rate.
- Pet relocation and quarantine boarding.
Where the list comes from
Pet boarding in Singapore needs an AVS licence, so the list starts from AVS's public register of licensed pet boarding facilities (updated 1 Sep 2026: 109 premises, 90 businesses licensed for dogs or cats). We looked for every one's own website, and added pet hotels named in guides (for names and links only): 63 websites read in all. 40 licensed hotels publish a nightly rate. 33 licensed boarders have no website we could find. 1 site didn't load (Shangri-Paw).
This is a count of published prices, not a survey of every pet hotel. Every figure here is "among licensed pet hotels that publish prices".
Dates and checks
Every price was read from the hotel's own website on 27 Sep 2026, and each figure was matched word for word against our saved copy of the page. Because every page was read the same day, the usual second read of the highest and lowest prices on publishing day was not needed. Hotels were not phoned or messaged: we only use what a hotel puts on its own website.
Prices per hotel: the middle hotel publishes 2 rates that fit the small-dog ladder and 3 that fit the cat ladder (room types and suites), so the dot plot above has a tab for every fitting rate (36 and 74 dots). The game below (150 rounds) mixes question types from the ladders.
